To be used in combination with HID Global's pivCLASS Authentication Module (PAM), requires the addition of the contact reader sidecar (available as a kit) and a reconfiguration that can be done in the field. The pivCLASS RK40 supports reading any PIV-based card with a contactless interface and containing a Card Authentication Key (CAK) certificate.
